Faced with the shortage of skilled labor and the challenges of the energy transition, Velux is strengthening its commitment to training in the construction sector. Since September 2022, the group has trained 2,780 apprentices across 49 partner institutions throughout France, combining technical and commercial skills for the profession of roof window installation consultant. Among its initiatives, the partnership with the École Gustave in Rennes illustrates its commitment to acting locally by organizing hands-on training sessions for installers and distributors. Two training paths are offered: a CAP program for learning the basics and a BP program for advanced solutions and roof glazing systems. These courses, highly appreciated by young people, enable them to develop practical skills directly applicable in the field while also creating opportunities for collaboration with local companies.
