Already deployed for the collection and recycling of bitumen membranes, Soprema's Sopraloop Bâtiment program is expanding with a new stream dedicated to wood-fiber insulation panel offcuts. The service allows offcuts from rigid and semi-rigid panels — generated during insulation installation and representing on average 7 to 8% of the volumes used — to be collected directly on construction sites. This waste material is sent to the production site in Golbey, in the Vosges region, before being reintegrated into the manufacturing of new insulation panels. Presented as the only recovery solution of its kind for this type of waste in France, the offering is part of the brand's circular economy approach. More than 2,600 tonnes of wood fiber were recycled in this way in 2025. To make the program easier to adopt, the manufacturer provides companies with a set of dedicated tools, including an online portal, sorting guides, and specific logistics support.
