On the occasion of the International Heritage Trade Fair at the Carrousel du Louvre (see previous page), Capeb and the Cité de l’architecture et du patrimoine signed an unprecedented partnership agreement aimed at strengthening the links between craftsmen and architects around a shared objective: preserving, restoring, and keeping French built heritage alive. This alliance highlights the complementarity between hands-on trades and design professions. Indeed, craftsmen play a key role in the architectural and heritage quality of the territory. Together, the two institutions aim to address the contemporary challenges of historic buildings—energy renovation, skills transmission, and sustainability—by placing cooperation at the heart of their actions. The agreement includes several concrete initiatives: promoting trades through exhibitions and events at the Cité, organizing joint conferences, and developing training modules with the École de Chaillot, fostering dialogue between craftsmen and architects across regions.
