On July 3, ESC Angers hosted the second edition of the Forum de la couverture – Héritage & Avenir (Roofing Forum – Heritage & Future). Apprentices, roofers, business leaders, alumni and industry professionals gathered for a day dedicated to showcasing craft skills and looking ahead to the future of the trade. The program included several highlights, including talks focused on natural slate and developments in roof ventilation techniques. Throughout the day, demonstrations by craftspeople and manufacturers gave visitors the chance to see technical skills and innovative solutions in action. The "roofing olympics," featuring events such as slate throwing, folding and standing-seam profiling, also punctuated the event in a friendly atmosphere. This latest edition confirmed the profession's strong interest in this gathering, which aims to build bridges between generations, encourage exchange, and promote roofing trades among future professionals.
